New Car

After much fun of trying to get our registration from Wisconsin mailed to us we finally have our new car! We decided to cash in on Cash for Clunkers and said goodbye to the 12 mpg truck and hello to our new 2010 Mazda 3. Yay!

In other news RAGBRAI went fine. I didn't die of camping exposure and only used a KYBO once (amazing). I decided I probably won't drive a support vehicle again... next time the bikers can just trade off days, draw straws for who has to drive. It was a lonely trip and the bikers wanted to sleep by 9:30... I still had fun but man it makes for a long day when you get up at 5am and sit around until 5 or 6pm waiting for people to show up. Scott enjoyed himself and wishes he could ride his bike on Iowa roads for a living. He had to brag and point out that he was the only person without a Trek bike and one of the few in his group who didn't have bike problems. Of course he had his own bike problems earlier in the year with constant flat tires until we bought new and better tires for him.

Here is a picture of the first campground we stayed in at Red Oak (the first night we slept at Elliott and Ashley's in Council Bluffs). Our tent is about 3 tents down and 4 or 5 tents over the top right corner of this picture. You can click on the picture to make it bigger. If you can see the tent that has a pink towel and a yellow towel hanging off of it... that's us sitting off to the left of that tent (scott and my tent). haha.
